I had the honor of presenting a panel today, June 20, 2015 on inadmissibility and deportability with Anna Gallagher and Emily White for the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
Anna is an experienced immigration lawyer based in D.C. In addition to the practice of law, Anna has taught immigration and refugee law in universities in the United States and in Europe. An internationally recognized expert in the areas of asylum and refugee law, Anna has also provided consulting services to the UNHCR – the UN Refugee Agency – and international non-governmental organizations. Anna continues to be involved in international immigration and refugee issues as President of the International Detention Coalition, an organization dedicated to advocating on behalf of immigrants and refugees subject to immigration detention around the world.

Emily Assunta White manages the removal defense and immigration litigation practice at Stern & Curray LLC. She leads a team representing clients before the Immigration Court, the Board of Immigration Appeals, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Administrative Appeals Office, and at consulates abroad.
The American Immigration Lawyers Association is the largest immigration bar in the United States.
