Donald F. Madeo is featured this week on the “Immigration Today” segment which is part of the New Tang Dynasty Television evening news program. Mr. Madeo discusses the new Provisional Waiver that allows individuals who are unable to adjust their status in the United States to Consular Process without the fear of being exiled from the United States for what can be a period of three (3) or ten (10) years.
This new process allows an individual to request a waiver of the unlawful presence bar while they are still in the United States. Upon a showing of extreme hardship to their U.S. citizen spouse or parent, they can return home for Consular Processing knowing that they will soon be returning to the U.S. as a lawful permanent resident. Mr. Madeo discusses who benefits from this new process, how to show extreme hardship and the current status of how this new program is operating.
