Promising signs for immigration reform from the House Republican leadership

On Behalf of | Jun 12, 2013 | Uncategorized

As if my complaints about the Republican intransigence on immigration reform rang a bell in D.C., today yahoo.com reports that the House Republican leadership expects a immigration reform to be signed into law by the end of this year.

Speaker John Boehner stated that, “I think by the end of the year we could have a bill,” he told ABC. Yahoo.com continued with the following, “[a]sked if that bill would be one to also pass the Democrat-led Senate and be signed into law by President Barack Obama, Boehner said: ‘No question.'” Please follow this link for the full story: http://news.yahoo.com/boehner-sees-u-immigration-bill-years-end-113940672.html. This good news means that more than ever, individuals who would benefit from immigration reform should meet with an experienced immigration lawyer who will prepare them for the upcoming new law. Preparation is beneficial for the potential immigration reform applicant even in the unlikely event that immigration reform does not become law. As stated by Confucius, “Success depends upon previous preparation, and without such preparation there is sure to be failure.”
