George Jewell joined Youman, Madeo, & Fasano as an associate attorney in 2016. George earned his Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science from Pace University.
George’s commitment to Immigration Law began during law school. While in law school, George participated in the research and preliminary drafting of a Human Rights Watch Report on Asylum Seekers’ hardship while waiting for work authorization eligibility. He also participated in Seton Hall’s Immigration and International Human Rights clinic focusing on immigrants in detention.
Prior to joining YMF, Mr. Jewell worked as the managing attorney for a small Queens based immigration law firm. In this capacity Mr. Jewell has had the opportunity to practice immigration law all over the country. He gained experience with removal relief, affirmative applications, and federal litigation. Notably Mr. Jewell was able to successfully argue that the Bangladesh Nationalist Party does not qualify as a Tier III terrorist organization and won Asylum for a young BNP supporter.
Mr. Jewell is licensed to practice law in New York State.
